About the Author

Archer Wallace was a youthful Methodist minister early in the 20th century.  He always aimed to inspire the young men he knew to their highest aspirations.  He wrote about a boy’s world with understanding and compassion.  Whether playing football or teaching Sunday school, Wallace involved himself in the community.  Late in life, Wallace constructed and settled into a remote cabin to write books about heroism.  His true stories aimed to give youth a glimpse into the lives of those who overcame obstacles and handicaps, working past such obstacles to triumph.
