About the Author:

Bryan Davis is the author of many youth fiction novels, including the Dragons in Our Midst, Oracles of Fire, Children of the Bard, and Wanted: Superheroes series. After working as a computer geek for 20 years, Bryan followed a dream to become an author. He began by writing a story to motivate his seven children to gain some excitement about writing, and that story grew into a novel. After spending the next eight years learning the craft and enduring more than 200 rejections from publishers and agents, he broke through with his best-selling series Dragons in Our Midst. He is now a full-time author and lives with his wife, Susie, and their children in western Tennessee.

 A Few Testimonials:

that we are called to suffer for Christ. … I have passed these books on to my 3 children, 16 yrs. old and my twin 13 year olds. They are the key that has gotten my 13 year old son to be a reader. He reads and reads until he finishes one book and goes straight into the next. I am thankful for the message in them of the cost to follow Christ and the power of Christ to work in our lives to impact the world. … I keep telling other parents and students about them as well, especially for boys that are not interested in reading.”  – Missy M., a homeschool Mom who is careful what her kids read

“Six years ago, we were reading the Candlestone. We finished the couple chapters of family reading for the night, said prayers and went to bed. But I was so restless and couldn’t sleep. The image of the Candlestone’s torment alluding to Hell got me thinking about the reality of Hell. I was convicted that night that Hell was real, and a place that I deserved to go to because I knew I had sinned. So I went back upstairs to talk to my parents and they explained the Gospel to me. This time, I understood it, and I repented and put my trust in Jesus.” –  Megan C.

“My 19 year old son loves them, and devours them as soon as a new one arrives. Why is this so important to me? You see, my son has several learning disabilities – ADD, dyslexia, dysgraphia to name a few. For him to sit down and read any book, let alone a novel, is almost unheard of – except for your books. And, even more than just reading, he is making the connection with your stories to the Bible. The stories are helping him to grow in his faith and challenging him to walk closely with the Lord!” – Lynn H.

“I just wanted to thank you for the way you write; it is so encouraging and inspiring to so many teens!!! I am so engrossed in Eye of The Oracle right now. It is seriously THE BEST SERIES I HAVE EVER READ!!! I have stayed up till like 2 in the morning sometimes reading and being inspired in my walk with Christ!!! I will find myself going about my day and then connecting something that I’m learning in school or God’s word to the books!!! I recommend these books to ALL my friends!!! 😀 So, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for being willing to write books that are applicable to our faith and that go against what our culture is wanting young people to read today. I’m SO happy to know that there are good books out there that actually do something for my faith in Christ!!!”  – Kayla F.
