In 1 Corinthians 16:13, the Apostle Paul gives a clear command to “act like men.” In our current times that is a difficult target for even Christian young adults to hit. The good news is that, in the book of Titus, God provides us with direct instruction on how to achieve that goal. There, the apostle Paul reveals God’s clear design for how young men are to walk worthy of Jesus Christ.

FROM THE FOREWORD BY JOHN MACARTHUR:
In 1 Corinthians 16:13, the Apostle Paul gives a clear command to “act like men.” In our current times that is a difficult target for even Christian young adults to hit. The good news is that, in the book of Titus, God provides us with direct instruction on how to achieve that goal. There, the apostle Paul reveals God’s clear design for how young men are to walk worthy of Jesus Christ.
I have known Chris Mueller as a friend and fellow pastor for decades. He also served alongside me at Grace Community Church for a decade before God called him to shepherd Faith Bible Church. It was during his ministry here as Grace Church’s College Pastor that he originated a series from Titus called Let the Men Be Men and Let the Women Be Women. During this period our college students experienced incredible growth, both in numbers and spiritual maturity. I would know; most of my own children were blessed to be a part of this very ministry.
I am grateful that the content of that series, which Chris has continued to teach for several decades, is now published. In every generation, Christian men and women desperately need a biblical foundation on the roles which God designed, yet few churches give it. This book and its partner, Let the Women Be Women, are therefore all the more valuable to meet that need.
Editorial Reviews:
“This book is a timely and much-needed resource. Chris Mueller has identified a number of hurdles and obstacles to a biblical understanding of manhood and addresses them with great insight and courage. In an age that denies not only the biblical, but also the scientific and common-sense realities of manhood and womanhood, we need books like this. We need men like Chris who see the threat and are willing to identify and confront it, and to do so in a way that exalts Christ and calls God’s people to do the same.”
Voddie Baucham, Dean of Theology, African Christian University
“Sadly, there is a man crisis in God’s church. The problem with the men in the local church today is not toxic masculinity or macho-manliness. The crisis is based on confusion over what it means to be a faithful man of God. Chris Mueller does an excellent job of defining biblical manhood and describing how biblical manhood functions in the home and the church for the glory of God.”
