What’s Wrong with Preaching Today? (Albert N. Martin)

$1.95$2.50

The Christian church today needs a recovery of good preaching. But how is that to take place? In answering this vital question, the author draws on his own experience as a pastor and preacher and on the widespread opportunities he has had to teach and counsel other preachers.

From Albert Martin, one of the most gifted preachers of our century, What’s Wrong With Preaching Today? contains a searching message which will disturb complacency; but rather than create despair, it challenges all who preach (as well as those who hear) to rise to new levels of faithfulness and usefulness in the service of Christ.

About the Author

Albert N. Martin concluded 46 years of ministry at Trinity Baptist Church in Montville, New Jersey, in June 2008, and he and his second wife Dorothy relocated to Michigan (he lost his first wife Marilyn in 2004 after 48 years of marriage and a six-year battle with cancer). A recognized evangelist, counsellor, pastor and preacher, Al Martin had his first experience of street preaching before the age of eighteen, under the guidance of elders at the Mission Hall he attended.

Pastor Martin taught all the courses in Pastoral Theology in the Trinity Ministerial Academy for 20 years until it closed in 1998. In his ‘retirement’, he has now put these lectures into permanent DVD format, and written Volume 1 of Pastoral Theology: The Man of God.

He is also the author of the books The Forgotten Fear and Grieving, Hope, and Solace: When a Loved One Dies in Christ.
