A Boy of Two Worlds (Lorna Eglin)
$7.25$8.99
So unlike many Christian children’s books, this is not a watered-down ‘easy-believism’, but rather an exploration of all that is involved in becoming a Christian, from belief to discipleship to becoming an evangelist yourself – yet all put in simple language and parables the young can understand. I can highly recommend this doctrinally sound and extremely educational children’s book, as of a higher standard which can safely be distributed to the children in the our churches without misleading them to a simplistic view of conversion.

A Boy of Two Worlds
Maasai boys love to practice throwing spears, and jumping. One day they will be strong men and leaders of their tribe. Lemayan is excellent with the goats and his father is proud of his capable son.
One dreadful day, all that changes and the tribe’s way of life hangs in the balance! The drought attacks their pastures; worms attack the cattle and the whole tribe has to sell all their animals. To make matters worse, Lemayan falls sick – but no one realizes just how sick he is.
Lemayan knows nothing but the traditional Maasai world, but now he has to live in a different world. What will that different world offer him? Will he be happy? Will anything be as good as looking after animals? When Lemayan finds out about a Good Shepherd who cares for his sheep he begins another journey of discovery – a journey to yet another world. A world where Jesus is King and where all tribes and peoples are welcome.
