The Author shares about herself and her work:

My name is Catherine Mackenzie and I’ve been writing biographies for Christian Focus Publications for nearly twenty years now.  I have written some other children’s books, but all of my children’s material is written with the theme of ‘redeeming love’ – and as William Cowper said, ‘and shall be till I die’.  This is my prayer… that I will be faithful to Christ in what I write and that his word and his power will bring many to trust in him from all nations.

Catherine has written numerous biographies for the very young in the Little Lights series, and many others in the Trailblazers series for children 8-12.

More About Lottie Moon:

More than 100 years ago, a single young female missionary named Lottie Moon went to serve in China. Lottie began writing letters to challenge Christians in American churches to send and support more missionaries to come! When she died, her challenge took the form of a memorial offering named after her.  She was a Baptist, but whether you are a Baptist or not, Lottie’s life is a reminder of why we must give to send and support missionaries serving among unreached peoples of the world.
