Jill Masters, wife of Peter Masters (pastor, Metropolitan Tabernacle of London) is co-ordinator of the Sunday School of that church and has devoted much of her life to producing Biblical lessons with strong appeal to children – lessons to draw them to want to serve the Lord, clearly present the great doctrines of the faith, and accurately explain portions of Scripture in context.

This 4-volume set is a treasure-chest of Biblical exposition for children. Her “lessons for life” are used in Sunday Schools throughout the world and are equally suitable for family devotions or homeschooling.

All the lessons have an evangelistic emphasis. At the same time, they provide a memorable view of all the major events and doctrines of the Bible. Lessons for Life avoid the presentation of Bible narratives as mere ‘stories’, so that the Word of God speaks powerfully to the young, pressing home the great arguments and appeals of the Gospel.

Each volume contains 46 lessons – to fit one year of teaching, accounting for holidays and occasional breaks.

About the Author

Jill Masters supervises the teaching program of Britain’s largest children’s Sunday School.  For almost 40 years she has addressed Sunday School teachers’ gatherings in the UK, USA, Far East, Australia and South Africa. Her Lessons for Life volumes have been greeted with enthusiasm by Sunday Schools and parents the world over. They’ve now been translated into several major languages.  She is wife to Rev. Peter Masters, Senior Pastor at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London, UK.
