Superbly written. Love of God is expressed genuinely in the characters with a sharp contrast to the evil that was prevalent in the midst of the religious institution at that time.

I have to say that I really enjoyed Titus, but Stephen is equally as interesting! It is a beautifully written story that glorifies God. I hope that many others will read this story and and be just as inspired as I was! This is definitely one of my top three favorites in Lamplighter Publishing.

Titus has been my favorite Lamplighter so far, but this book is so much like it. The story is never dull and delivers just as much or more as Titus did. Where Titus revealed the strength and mercy of Jesus, Stephen reveals the struggles, but also the Spirit-given power of the disciples and of Jesus’ name – something we tend to forget that is available to us today.  Both of these books bring to life the culture and dangers of the time of Jesus and directly after his resurrection. Powerful stories.
