Sex & Relationships
The world is always trying to press us into its mold, Romans 12 clearly declares to us. Among the temptations in which the world is currently exerting considerable pressure, sexual immorality is high on the list. It has been this way especially and increasingly since the “sexual revolution” of the 1960s. As King David the Psalmist asked in Psalm 119, How shall a young man keep his way pure? The answer remains the same today as then: by keeping it according to Thy Word (Psalm 119:9). Sorry to say, confusion reigns even as to what it is to keep God’s Word and how one goes about the pursuit of purity. There is wisdom in gathering good counselors on this point, and writers such as Rosaria Butterfield, Dannah Gresh, Kevin DeYoung, Lydia Brownback and others found in this section can help.

Closing the Window: Steps to Living Porn Free (Tim Chester)
Pornography is everywhere. Far too many Christians regularly use and are addicted to it, warping their perception of sexuality and relationships, destroying marriages and ministries. But Christians who struggle with porn also long for change. When we realize the unfulfilling emptiness of porn, we come to yearn for freedom from it. But what do we do?
Tim Chester says that we can be captured by a better vision–a liberating confidence that God offers more than pornography does. Moving beyond pat answers or mere willpower, Chester offers spiritual, practical and corporate resources for living porn free. He exposes the false promises of porn and redirects us to the true promises of God.
With assurance of God’s grace and cleansing power, we can change our desires and escape the traps and temptations of pornography. However great the challenge, God’s grace is even greater. And we can come to a place where we no longer feel the need to use porn.
Close the window on porn. And open the door to freedom, integrity and new life.

The Gospel & Same-Sex Marriage (Russell Moore)
Christians should be known by what they are for, not simply what they are against. The Bible is unambiguously clear about marriage’s definition and purpose. So, Christians are for marriage. The Bible’s witness on marriage doesn’t allow for same-sex marriage, not because the Bible gives attention to same-sex marriage, but because the biblical narrative on marriage doesn’t conceive of same-sex marriage as within the realm of possibility. Yet, many Christians live among neighbors and under law-makers who disagree.
So, what now? Editors Russell Moore and Andrew T. Walker of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) assemble leading voices to frame the issues with a gospel-centered perspective. The Gospel for Life series gives every believer a biblically-saturated understanding of the most urgent issues facing our culture today, because the gospel is for all of life.
