…and Other Poems for Cultivating a Happy Family

Anyone who raises vegetables knows that gardens are a lot of hard work. So are relationships! But the labor that goes into nurturing family relationships can result in a delicious harvest that is nutritious to our souls. Using gardening as a metaphor, this refreshing book reminds us of the benefits we experience when we let our roots grow deep right where we’ve been planted.

The Garden Where I Grow paints a refreshing and beautiful vision of God’s design for family, and presents children with simple, practical ways to cultivate strong family relationships.”

About the Author and Artist:

Gary Bower is an adoring dad who strives to write books that have appeal both to children and grown-ups. He says, “A book that is relevant to a wide range of age levels offers a way for parents and kids to have meaningful talks about important life issues.   I try to create for families springboards into natural conversations.”  Gary has recently written several fun Bible story books!

Jan Bower is a busy mom who draws & paints with purpose.  She knows the power of beautiful art to draw readers into a story.  Jan excels at teaching budding artists how to create realistic renderings that touch the heart, using pencil, charcoal, colored pencil & oil paints.  Currently, Jan is illustrating a new book while remaining very busy teaching art classes for adults and kids in her studio.
