Bone of Contention (Sylvia Baker)

$6.75$8.99

First published as a series of articles in 1976, then in magazine format, this work has been completely revised and updated with new diagrams incorporating current information. Always intended to be understandable to the general reader, this book covers the reasons why a conservative (young earth), biblical view of the creation of our world fits the evidence found in fossils and the world as we see it.

Easily read by teenage children, but has enough information to satisfy an inquiring adult. Fossil evidence is examined, along with genetics and a chapter on the age of the earth, and an overview of the consequences for human history. There is a useful bibliography including helpful websites.

The author closely examines the reasons why Darwinian evolution came to be so widely accepted, despite so much evidence to the contrary. For one thing is certain: Darwinian evolution, a theory which was never strong on evidence, has been progressively weakened, the more we learn. The Biblical Creation, the worldview which gave rise to modern science to begin with, the reverse is true. But it takes eyes to see it and a willing heart to accept it.
