$5.50The Gospel Call and True Conversion (Paul Washer)
$14.50$20.00
The apostle Paul gave the gospel the first place in his preaching, endeavored with all his might to proclaim it clearly, and even went so far as to pronounce a curse upon all those who would pervert its truth. Yet how sad it is that many, even among those considering themselves evangelicals, have reduced the gospel message to a few trite statements to be repeated, and view conversion as a mere human decision.
In The Gospel Call and True Conversion, Paul Washer challenges such easy-believism, as he examines the real meaning of key subjects like faith, repentance, and receiving Christ. He also deals extensively with the effects of saving grace that God promises in the new covenant; namely, the creation of new hearts and new people.

Series Description
Although the Recovering the Gospel Series does not represent an entirely systematic presentation of the gospel, it does address most of the essential elements, especially those that are most neglected in contemporary Christianity. It is the hope of the author that these words might be a guide to help you rediscover the gospel in all its beauty, scandal, and saving power. It is his prayer that such a rediscovery might transform your life, strengthen your proclamation, and bring the greatest glory to God.

Endorsements
“In an age awash with easy-believism, we need voices like Paul Washer’s that remind us of The Gospel Call and True Conversion. We are all tempted to believe that we are ‘beyond the basics’ and in need of something more—something new. However, Washer reminds us that there is nothing more important and more relevant than getting the gospel right, making the gospel clear, and trusting that gospel to do its work of calling, saving, and securing a people to God and for God. Praise God for the gospel and books like this that help us know, understand, and love it more deeply.
-— Voddie Baucham, pastor of preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas, and author of The Ever-Loving Truth
“Being a Christian is not just a matter of ‘making a decision for Jesus’ or ‘turning over a new leaf.’ It is a miracle of grace in which a sinner is brought by God’s power from death to life. In The Gospel Call and True Conversion, Paul Washer brilliantly and clearly helps the reader understand that truth, carefully opening the Scriptures and explaining how the power of the gospel ought to impact our lives as Christians. A much-needed, pastoral, and challenging book!” -— Greg Gilbert, senior pastor of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and author of What Is the Gospel?
More Endorsement
“By God’s sovereign grace, Paul Washer’s ministry has been particularly blessed to instruct this generation in the basics of true conversion and the gospel call. I highly commend this careful but simple treatment of these vital issues. May God bless it to the preparation of His people to share the gospel of peace and to the salvation of many persons.”
