The Silver Keys (A. L. O. E.)

$25.00$29.00

Another classic work from Charlotte Maria Tucker, who chose to be known by her pen-name of A. L. O. E. (A Lady of England)

What powerful grace unlocks the grip of pride even in the hardest hearts! The author of The Silver Keys reintroduces Ned Franks, whose visits to a dying man challenge our own willingness to be inconvenienced for the sake of the gospel. And through her changed life, a former drunkard demonstrates to all who knew her that the power of forgiveness is real!

Whether we’re in a position of giving or receiving, kindness is the key to opening the locked box of the human heart.

The Silver Keys

Original preface to The Silver Keys as written by A. L. O. E.:

“Such readers of this little work as may have seen Ned Franks and Sheer Off will perceive at once that the present story is a continuation of them, though not necessarily to be united with either, as each is complete in itself.  The same individual who is represented in the first volume of the series as a godless termagant, and in the second as a drunkard hardly rescued from the vortex in which she was sinking into destruction, appears in this, the third, as a penitent and a believer.

She now struggles through trials and sore temptations, on a heavenward path.  Such instances of the triumphs of grace over a corrupt nature and evil habits are – thank God! – to be met with in life.  Some who will be, we believe, welcome and honoured guests in the courts of heaven, will be gathered from those who were once great wanderers on earth, and who will be ready to own that they were unworthy even of the portion of the dogs – the crumbs under the Master’s table.” — Charlotte Maria Tucker
