The Whole Gospel Narrative

The Whole Gospel Narrative is the studious work of a technically skilled writer. Marvin Fieldhouse set out to compile an easy-to-read account of the four Gospels. Thus, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John have been smoothly dovetailed into one account.

The text is entirely the King James Bible but collected from all four Gospels and arranged in one single, uninterrupted story of our Savior’s life and ministry.

As we read the four Gospels, certain details appear and re-appear.  Some are abridged, for instance, in Mark’s account while enlarged upon in Luke’s or Matthew’s. The gospel of the Apostle John includes vast sections that do not appear in any of the others. Fieldhouse’s complete chronological work contains everything found in the four gospels. But there are no repetitions, no overlapping details, nor any omissions of any single detail that even arose only once.

Since the nature, the aim of it, was to include in one volume all of the details recorded in each Gospel, and since it had to have neither omissions nor overlapping of materials – yet sometimes containing very scattered and minute details (wide-spread and diverse in nature); and since the whole, completed narrative had to have a comparatively smooth-flowing chronological arrangement (all points recorded had to be in a fairly obvious and agreeable sequence when happening); and whereas no one existing Gospel account could therefore be the acceptable model for all four amalgamated accounts, it therefore became paramount that I imbue to The Whole Gospel Narrative an altogether unique chronological pattern.

Now, I am fully aware of the fact that each of the four Gospel writers had a unique, divinely ordained chronological sequence to his account…. I dare not add one word unto His story …I only gleaned the words that made it true; and only hope that this will bring great glory to Christ our Lord and great blessing to you to read!”
